I got a new ipad for my birthday a few weeks back and despite restoring it from my backup, I lost my entire RSS feed in the reader. I originally ported my RSS feed across from google's reader a few years ago, and many of those nail blogs have closed down and don't post any more.
I'm going to go through an add the active ones back, but seeing as I'm doing that, I want to see your blogs so I can follow them too.
Now's your change ladies, please post a link to your blog below so I can check it out and add it to my reader.

DeleteIn response to Tuesday's post - I firmly believe blogs are not irrelevant. For the many reasons mentioned: chronicling/history as you mention, personal interaction, integrity, etc.; but until there is a social media platform that is not based on a corporate agenda using algorithms, ads, etc. - blogs are where the best is at!! I do dabble with the social media platforms to support my blogging and as an insomnia weapon - but I think blogs will always be my "home".
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, I have two New Year's Resolutions: to better update & sort my RSS readers (mostly bloglovin) and be a better visitor & commenter to those bloggers who inspire me - which you are at the top of my list (have been for 4+ years). I apologize for my poor attendance of late, both to the blogs I follow and to my own - life has been a bear this year. So, my second New Year's Resolution is to re-ignite my drive to find my creative energy and get back to blogging too.
I hope you continue to blog (regardless of the stats) and find your enjoyment/purpose re-surface again. Happy Holidays!!!

ReplyDeleteWhen I started blogging nearly 3 years ago I already started hearing that blogs were on a decline and were losing traffic. Despite this deterrent I feel like blogs are very much relevant still and that there are readers out there.
ReplyDeleteBlogs are my first choice when wanting nail art inspiration as well as swatches of polish. Just the fact that I can read content when I want and keep track of all updates in an rss-feed makes it much easier than IG for me.
