Moving right along with my last few manis before the 31 Day Challenge starts. Today's mani features Picture Polish Calm and a design that I saw first done by @loveslacquer.
This design is created using two techniques. First you stamp the checker board pattern, then you create the decal flowers and apply them over the top. Calm is a tad sheer to be able to use on it's own as a decal, so for the blue flower, I put a white backing on it so the checkers didn't show through the flower.
Here is Calm on it's own. Calm was created with Russian blogger Rafi Nails, who, like many other Russian bloggers uses some voodoo witchcraft to take amazing nail photos!
This is tree coats as it is a little sheer, but that just means the holo particles get a chance to really shine through, plus there is also a good generous amount of scatter holo in this. Colour wise, this is somewhere between Lagoon and Ocean in the teal blue green range. I've done a bottle comparison below.
Picture Polish Calm is available from Picture Polish. International ladies may be able purchase through one of the many Network stockists if they have this in stock.
Polish provided for consideration.
Hey do you have lacquistry amazeballz chunky ballz by any chance? I'm looking for swatches other than the sellers but can't seem to find even one!
ReplyDeleteYes, I couldn't resist that polish. I have a swatch of a sinlge coat over black here, but I haven't actually worn it on it's own. I can do that if you would like.
DeleteYes pretty please! I would appreciate it so much! Your swatches are the best ❤❤
DeleteIf it's easier for you, you could just post a pic on instagram. I follow you on there. Either way, thanks again!!
DeleteWill do - what your handle and I'll tag you. I'll try to do the swatch tomorrow.
DeleteIt's @nguyen.tam 😊 you're going to be the deciding factor whether i buy this or not! Thank you 😙
DeleteWhat a great mani! I love Calm. I got it to cover in two coats, but my nails are also both shorter and smaller than yours :) x
ReplyDeleteHow do you make your flower vinyls?
ReplyDeleteFor these decals, I picked up a flower image on my nail stamper, then coloured it in. I then applied top coat on the design on my stamper and let it dry. Then I peeled it off, trimmed it and applied it.
