Have you guys heard about Sambora Beach Toes Polish? I wasn't aware of the brand until I was contacted by them to see if I would like to review some of their shades. Living here in Canberra
(which is an inland city) we don't have much of a beach culture, and it turns out this brand of polish is very popular in various surf retail stores.
Sambora Beach Toes polishes are UV Stabilised professional quality polish that handles sun, sand and surf. The colours are designed not to fade and to go on bright and stay bright. They are also five free and Made in Australia - and I'm always going to support our Aussie made products.
I created a nail art look using two of the colours (Starfish and Tropicana) and stamping in black with an image from Born Pretty store plate BP L-006. I can just imagine a bikini to match these nails!
Now for some swatches of the five shades on their own.
Baby Wave - a pastel blue creme. Smooth easy to apply formula with good coverage for a pastel. This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Lilac Lagoon - a lilac base with a strong silver pearl like shimmer. The shimmer will show brush strokes, but they are less noticeable in real life compared to these up close swatch photos. This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Meet me at midnight - This polish is a bright metallic shimmery blue. I have such wonderful memories of a aqua blue polish like this from Revlon called Splash - it was circa 1999 and one of only about 30 polishes in my entire stash. It does show some brush strokes but the colour is so worth it. I can just imaging wearing this one whilst out in the surf. This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Starfish - a bright neon coral creme. Impossible to capture with my camera because of the neon finish. I love shades like these that you can tell if it's pink or orange. This is three coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Tropicana - another incredible neon finish. I have a couple of neon yellow polishes, but this one is a little different as it leans slightly lime green. Such a wonderful summer shade. This is three coats with Seche Vite top coat. It could possibly pop even more if it were layered over white, but as you can see, it doesn't need to be.
Sambora Beach Toes polishes are available from www.sambora.com.au and are $18.95AUD a bottle, with free delivery in Australia.
