Back in early December I bought a few more bottles of Mundo de Unas stamping polishes. They arrived in the new year and I was very happy to try out the gold polish I had bought. I loved the colour and it stamps beautifully.
The problem is, if you leave it to sit for a few days, it's separates like all hell! Check out my bottle of Mundo de Unas gold polish.
At out last catch up here in Canberra of my nail polish buddies, Hayley aka Emily de Molly let me in on a little secret. She had bought a tattoo ink mixer and was going to use it to mix up her bottles of Mundo. She had read about it online somewhere. I bought one too and after trying it out I had to share the information here.
All you need to do is get a lollypop stick and attach it to the end of the one of the short black tattoo ink mixers that came with the machine. This makes the wand part long enough to reach into nail polish bottles.
The ink mixer takes two AA batteries and you just press the back of the handle onto the metal band to start the vibration. I bought this one of ebay for $3.66AU with free postage. I took a few weeks to get here from China but it was worth the wait.
Want to see how well this cheap little tool mixes up my Mundo gold polish. Check this out.
Search for "Tattoo ink mixer" on ebay if this is something you are interested in.
Thank you so much for this post. Now I can fix all my bottles. Cheers
ReplyDeleteThe vid didn't load but I managed to get the url from 'page source'. That's amazing! It really is wow! I'll need to check that ink mixer out - got a few bottles like this :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my, thanks for the share, Cathy! Both you and Hayley are awesome <3 I just bought one. Can't wait to try on my silver and gold!
ReplyDeleteThe video doesn't load for me either, but it sounds cool :)
ReplyDeleteNo video for me either. I guess it works well though? Would it mix mini mdus as well?
ReplyDeleteSorry about the video - I think I've fixed the embed code now.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy!
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much for this post. I saw it on IG yesterday and was blown away. What a genius idea! I got mine too.
Just have one question: what kind of glue did you use?
That's brilliant! It could so useful for frankening too. The mixing always puts me of the idea. Gotta get me one!
ReplyDeleteThis is so ridiculously cool! I can't believe I didn't think of this!
ReplyDeleteThe paper lollipop sticks?! Or the plastic? Any chance you could link to where to get the lollipop sticks? Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI literally bought a chupa chupa lollypop from the supermarket and let my kids eat it.. I just wipe it with a tissue each time I use it and haven't needed to replace it.
ReplyDeleteI just placed my order for it :) Can't wait to get it.
