Do you know what nail art I've never painted before? Leopard print. I think I may have stamped it, but I have never actually tried to paint it myself. Now, of course, for my first attempt at hand painted leopard print I chose probably the most difficult sort - mini leopard print. Nothing like throwing myself into the deep end.
Back in January this year, I saved a photo on my ipad of a mani created by the undisputed queen of mini leopard print - Tips and Topcoats. She has done quite a few manis featuring mini leopard print, but it was her pink design that inspired me to create this one.
This is a very poor blue copy of Louise's stunning pink one. I'm still baffled how she gets her leopard print so tiny. I counted up her nail and can see she fits in about 15 leopard dots vertically, my mani only has about 8, which means her leopard print is almost 100% smaller and finer than mine. So mine is only half way to becoming a mini leopard print. Or maybe I can just call hers micro leopard print.
I'm still happy with my mani, at least enough to give mini leopard print another attempt. What do you all think? Have you attempted a mini leopard print? It really does make me wish there was a mini animal print stamping plate. One that did mini leopard, mini zebra, mini giraffe print etc.
This is such an amazing nail art, I love it!

ReplyDeleteI totally have her mani saved in my "must do this!" album. Now I definitely need to give it a try. Yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's amazing, I love it:)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love your color combination, and the size of your print makes it immediately recognizable as leopard. Love!
ReplyDeleteI think you did an awesome job! I must thank you, too, for both a new blog to follow and a new technique to try out. She and her mini-prints are so cool! But I do agree with nikatnails above--yours is more easy to recognise as animal print from any reasonable distance. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat print and color combination! Love it!
