Swanky Silk is from the recent China Glaze Bohemian collection. It is a neutral peachy base that has a good duo chrome shift to yellow gold. This is another one that I have read reviews that say it doesn't have a very strong duo chrome effect, however I thought it was pretty good.
Normally I wouldn't put sticker decals onto a shiny chrome polish like this, but I was nursing a break on my ring finger, and I find things like water decals, stickers and temporary tattoos are excellent at creating some stability for the broken nail. It was also very late at night and I still had naked nails and I couldn't go to work the next morning sporting my gorgeous yellow tinted natural ones!
Yep, it's a little frosty and shows brush marks like the others in this collection, but I'm a simple girl and am easily pleased, so these still get a double thumbs up from me.
Pretty, I like it. Love the butterflies x
ReplyDeleteThe stickers work really well - extra jazz n'all that!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and turns a regular polish into something eye catching.
ReplyDeleteI've got the same butterfly stickers!! I love how you used them!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty! I grabbed this polish too--I wasn't thrilled with it at first, but it's growing on me. Especially since I discovered that sponging on a final light coat of the polish with a makeup sponge will hide the brush strokes and make it extra sparkly. I need to try a look like this--thanks for the inspiration! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI love it! The stickers are lovely as well.
ReplyDeletelove this manicure.. the color is so pretty and the stickers are very nice. Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI had so looked forward to this collection but did not buy one of em when they came out - not my shades - a couple really not unique and no duoshife and others too brushstrokey or too frosted looking - then the one that was yet one more Peridot dupe...surely was a good reason why I sold my Peridot after I bought it and folks could not get it..it never looked 'right on me anyway. I could not have worn this shade you are showing either...tried it with a really close dupe from Deb Lippmann. Like the stickers did not know they would help with a nail break - good to know.
ReplyDeleteI love how you placed those stickers! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteI love the stickers....where did you get them?
ReplyDeleteKelly - would you believe those stickers are one of the very few nail supplies that I purchase from a travelling kiosk in my local shopping mall about two years ago! I have no idea if they are available online.
