I'm still so much in love with magnetic nail polish. In fact I don't think I will ever get sick of it as a trend.
I want magnetic polish in ever colour and I want every shape magnet design there is. I can't wait for the new China Glaze magnet with the concentric circles and the grid, and I just have to get me a bottle of Nails Inc magnetic polish with the fish net magnet. Which brings me to this post.
This is Claire's Magnetix gold, which is really thick and gluggy, but still a beautiful colour on it's own without the magnet. I then stamped it using a fish net design. I really love how these gold magnetics end up looking like the stone Tiger Eye.
Nothing fancy for all us hard core nail buffs, but there was a lady at work in my team who saw these nails and I tried to explain firstly about magnetic polish and then about how to do stamping etc. Her comment after that explanation was "And your just going to take this off tonight?"
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe magnetic effect underneath makes it look amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool looking, ssometimes the simplest designs can be as stunning as elaborate ones.
ReplyDeleteLove that randoms comment, reminds me of my mom. I feel as though I can relate to getting that reaction from people lol.
Haha love the lady's comment, but srs, do you take polish off every day? I try to leave mine on for about 5 days :)
ReplyDeleteNot quite every day, but I'd say 5 times a week. I couldn't go 5 days without changing!
DeleteThat is one stunning mani
ReplyDeleteI just returned my bottle of the Nails Inc fishnet polish (Piccadilly). I HATED it - it was difficult to work with and I had a lot of trouble getting a decent pattern to form. I have several of the regular magnetics from that company and a handful of others from other brands, and I've never had that kind of trouble before. It was really disappointing!
ReplyDeleteOh what a shame. I would totally have sent you the money for the polish and for postage, as that is one I really want to try! I was watching one on ebay that ended today, but I was riding my bike home from work today when it finished!
DeleteThe combination of the magnetic design and the stamping is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! How funny! I'm like you, I gotta collect them all! I REALLY want Icing's Purple/Blue one!
ReplyDeleteHaha, that is funny! I so need to try stamping over my magnetic polishes! Looks awesome!
ReplyDeletethat looks great! at first i thought it was the new Nails Inc magnetic.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome idea!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, the fishnet pattern truly compliments the color!
ReplyDeleteOooh this is fabulous!
ReplyDeletelove it!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Muggles just don't get it ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! Everyone is jumping on the magnetic bandwagon aren't they?! I just saw the other day that Sally Hansen and Piggy Polish both have magnetic polishes out too, in addition to all the other brands. It wasn't long ago that you had to order Layla from Italy to get magnetics...now everyone is making it!
ReplyDelete^ in the US, anyway, that is...
DeleteYep, your right. Even our cheapest brand here in Australia Ulta3 is releasing a magnetic line in June!
DeleteI want a hot pink magnetic so bad..... love the dimensional look to this mani btw.
ReplyDeleteYes, Hot pink magnetic. I haven't seen one!
DeleteSuch a fantastic look! I have, like, 4 magnetics that I never wear--it's definitely time to remedy that! Hehe, and I love the comment from your coworker. Unless I've managed some nail art I'm especially enjoying, I usually get bored after a day or so and have to switch it up. Bet she'll be looking out for what you're wearing next! :)
ReplyDelete"And your just going to take this off tonight?" ROFL We are crazy people, but we only take it off to put on something else just as beautiful =D It's the daily evolution of nails =D
ReplyDeleteI love this mani, but the most amazing thing is how you somehow got the striations of the magnetic polish to line up with the stamp, beautiful!!!
This is one of the colors I got recently. I also thought the color is gorgeous with or without magnet. A fishnet magnetic pattern would be really nice!
