Lynderella's latest collection has a polish called Change in it, and I fell in love with it the instant I saw it on her blog. Unfortunately she doesn't ship internationally, so if you want to get her polishes you have to find someone in the USA that would be willing to buy on your behalf and ship to Australia.
I had someone lined up who kindly offered to arrange it for me, but I missed the opening of her shop by 4 hours and therefore missed out on getting included in the order. DOH!

So I figured I will pull out all my glitters to see what I could mash together.
I created this custom polish, which I have called Coinage.
I really struggle photographing glitters, so you will see this polish in various lighting and tones as I took photos over two days. I actually wore this polish for four days, which is like a record for me. I just loved it that much. This was three coats, with no underwear. I was really happy with the opacity.
This polish has 18 different glitters and flakes. There is silver holo hex's in two sizes, gold holo hex's in three sizes, chartreuse coloured hex's, brilliant gold hex's, pale gold hex's, copper hex's, orange hex's, micro glitter in silver, brown, desert sand, copper and cinnamon, and gold, copper and bronze reflecks glitters. Holey hell that is a lot of glitter in one bottle. I can't believe I actually had that many gold toned glitters!
I was also gifted a bottle of Gelous to try as a top coat to smooth out glitters. This mani had a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite and it was shiny and smooth. I love Gelous, I can't believe I had never tried it to smooth out glitter polishes. It really does make a difference. Thank you!!
omg i am so in love with this! great job on the franken! now i wish i had a bottle :P
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous gorgeous glittery franken! love it
ReplyDeleteOMG , i need this ! LOL
ReplyDeletekisses
Wow it's beautiful! I wish I had one too.
ReplyDeleteYou should sell your creations! I will be sad because you probably wouldn't be able to ship to the US, but I know that Aussie ladies will be ecstatic to get your goods!
ReplyDeleteHer shop is open today....
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm a fan of glitters AND gold, this is just amazing!
ReplyDeleteI don't really do glitters on my nails, too blingy on me and I hate taking them off! BUT... I love seeing them on other people. This is awesome awesome awesome!
ReplyDeletewhat a terrific dupe for Lynderella's Change. You have a great eye for recreating the difficult to obtain.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! I'm impressed you had allthat on hand!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that llarowe sells Lynderella polishes (and some other great ones like Hits and Ludurana) and ships to Aus. But I absolutely love your creation, and the name!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm keeping my eye on Llarowe, she doesn't have them in stock yet, but when she does, I'm pouncing.
O.O That is INCREDIBLE!!! *grabby hands the screen* :D
ReplyDeleteI'd like to ask that nail polish out on a date. It's HOT! haha!
ReplyDeleteCan I ask where you get your glitters?
ReplyDeleteAll the micro fine ones from TKB trading. The larger ones are actually car flakes from ALSA, google search ALSA sample pack.
DeleteWhat base did u use?
ReplyDeleteNo base colour under this, just the straight franken. The micro glitter in it provides good coverage. You can actually still be a bit of visible nail line.
DeleteOh but in what medium did you suspend the glitter? Like a clear nail polish or a suspension base or something similar?
ReplyDeleteSuspension base, or more specifically 'untinted lacquer based' from Beauty World here in Australia.
