Would you believe that one of the top search terms for people coming to my blog is 'magnetic nail polish'. So if you just googled magnetic nail polish and came here, welcome!
I recently hauled myself three new magnetic colours from the same place that I have purchased my previous magnetic polishes (Nail Art and More in Austria). This one is called Magnetic Silver Grey. When the polish is applied it is a neutral taupe gray colour, but when the magnetic is applied it pulls through a great gold colour beneath and leaves very light silvery magnetic lines.
I used the star magnet for this design, and like always I had a little trouble lining it up perfectly on my nail, but I still got a finish I was very happy with.
This is a really pretty magnetic polish. The other two colours I got were Khaki and Pigeon blue. I'm worried the khaki might look a bit poopie, but they didn't have a colour chart, so I'll just have to wait and see.
I also got two more magnets, one with horizontal lines and one with vertical lines. I'll use them on the other two colours.
OMG! I want this type of polish so bad!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering whether the effort was worth the result with these magnetic polishes, but it looks quite impressive. I'm useless doing anything creative with my nail polish, but I reckon even I could get this funky magnetic thing happening.
ReplyDeleteI decided to bite the bullet and order a few colors but at the checkout shipping is 33 EURO to Australia!! Was it that expensive when you ordered?
ReplyDeleteCarly - Yeah, that's their standard international shipping now, it used to be way cheaper, so I just click through the purchase without really checking it. After I paid I was like 'What, did I really just pay that much for shipping?' On the up side, it was here in about 4 days!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say I'm so going to buy this ... but after seeing above ... 33 Euro?? I might cry :(
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I'm not sure it's worth the money for the magnets-I like the color itself-but not really impressed by the star design!
ReplyDeleteI emailed them and there standard shipping starts at 33 EURO. So no magnetics for me :(
ReplyDeleteWow, shipping is really expensive even to Italy! 20.50 euro?!? OMG, that's crazy. What a pity, there are a lot of nice stuff on that site.
ReplyDeleteTalking about magnetic polishes, italian brand Layla has just launched their magnetic collection (even in US, during the Las Vegas Cosmoprof). Their polishes are really HTF in my city so I have found only one shade, hope to try (and swatch!) it ASAP.
i love this pattern, really looks awesome :-D
ReplyDeleteWoow! What a super effect! ;)
ReplyDeletegorgeous!
