Today I am showing something that on my nails right now. I did this mani on Sunday night and just couldn't bear to take it off. You see today is my birthday, and before you ask, at my age you stop counting the numbers! When I was thinking about what I wanted to paint on my nails for my birthday, I simply couldn't think of anything I would love more than the golden creation I was already wearing. So it stayed on for another day.
I started with a base of Bourjois Rose Lounge, a gorgeous sheer pinky nude. I then placed all my blingy accessories on my nails using a single coat of top coat and pressing them down. The gorgeous little shells are something new I got from the Born Pretty Store. The Metal Shell studs come in two sizes in both silver and gold. These are the smaller 3mm size and I love how flat and smooth they sit on my nails. All the other studs on my nails I purchased from the Born Pretty Store in a mixed wheel of various stud shapes. I also purchased the gold striping tape from the Born Pretty Store. If you're shopping at the Born Pretty Store, my 10% code is MNPG10.
After I had placed the bling, I top coated everything to seal it in. I then painted the gold sections of my nails using OPI Honey Ryder. Finally I used the gold striping tip to mark the edges of the polish.
I also have to show off this amazing cake that the wife of one of my work collegues made for me today! Isn't it just the most gorgeous box of nail mail you've ever seen. I'm keeping the icing nail polish bottles on my desk at work.
Thanks for reading and goodnight.
It's amazing! I love your nails...

I want to mention that I went on the hunt for the Ultra3 Christmas packs today and I found them ALL, I think I actually made excited noises out loud. Thank you so much for all your great posts about those polishes. The book is gorgeous, and they had a large clear tube full of polishes. I think it was shaped like a candy cane, but my eyes quickly scanned down that long tube of polishes. Such perfect gifts for any nail polish addict.
