I had originally planned a rainbow dotticure for today's prompt, but after seeing quite a lot of them on rainbow day I thought I'd better think up another design - so I did. This was attempt number 2 last night. I didn't take photos of my original design attempt, but I sure am glad I scrapped it and started again on this version.
I started with a base of my favourite nude - OPI Don't Pretzel my Buttons (I'm gonna need another bottle of that very soon). I then grabbed my dotting tool and started work. The darkest shade of blue is Picture Polish Electric Blue. The next darkest shade is a mix of half Electric Blue and half Essie Mirror Metallic Blue Rhapsody mixed together on a palette and then dotted on. Line three was 1/3 Electric Blue 2/3 Blue Rhapsody. Line four was just Blue Rhapsode and the top lines were Essie No Place Like Chrome.
Despite all the dots, this is actually a pretty quick design to put together. I was finished from base coat to top coat in under 30 minutes. There is something about these that makes them look like nail stickers at a distance.
so pretty <3
